B.A. Economics – The University of Texas at Austin

Jack Gaffney serves as Vice President of the Acquisitions/Brokerage Team. He primarily focuses on acquisitions, aggregation strategies, sales transactions, managing key Finial relationships, and assisting the team in completing value-add assignments.

Jack’s other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting in acquiring and selling industrial properties into Finial Group’s investment platform
• Providing real-time market intel and analytics across all markets Finial Group operates in
• Assisting in preliminary underwriting and evaluation of prospective acquisitions
• Compiling investment data into a well-organized memo to effectively present key information to partners
• Handling negotiations with sellers and/or tenants
• Assisting the team in due diligence and evaluation of properties
• Effectively handling closings
• Performing any necessary post-closing tasks to perform on the value-add for our acquisitions

Since Jack’s start date, his diligence and commitment to providing the highest quality of results has produced an outcome of roughly 682K SF of lease transactions and roughly 1.82M SF of acquisitions and/or sales transactions. Jack has also helped in acquisitions and dispositions of industrial properties in four states outside of Texas, including Georgia, Tennessee, New Mexico, and Florida. On top of being a key part of Finial’s investment and acquisitions team, Jack has worked with other institutional-grade investors to evaluate, acquire, and lease industrial properties around the Southern US and continues to advise on their investments today. Jack was also accepted into the SIOR Member Associate program in January 2021 and is working towards his full designation.

In addition to Jack’s strong work ethic, he prioritizes being a leader within the firm. As a member of the investment committee, Jack provides valuable guidance and assistance in evaluating our investment deals across all markets. He also plays an integral part in setting up and maintaining the internal apps and systems for our investment processes. Jack has led the Finial Group – San Antonio office at a corporate level since January 2019 and has played a fundamental role in the growth of Finial Group’s brand across all our active markets around the Southern US. He also led the company revenue in 2020, 2021, and 2022.

Originally from Washington, DC, Jack moved to Austin in 2014 to attend the University of Texas. He earned a B.A in Economics with honors with a Certificate in Business Honors. While at U.T., he was also a member of the University of Texas Silver Spurs, a volunteer tutor at local Austin elementary schools and an active participant in many charity events.

Prior to joining Finial Group, Jack worked at GWR Equities in Houston as an analyst underwriting multifamily investment sales. During his time there, he gained valuable experience in research, investment, and property valuation. Jack also worked as an intern at Monument Wealth Management, an asset management and financial planning firm in Alexandria, Virginia.
