B.A. Economics – University of Texas, Austin

Jack Gaffney is a senior member of Finial Group’s brokerage services and acquisitions team. His primary focus is on owner representation, acquisitions and investment sales, development tenant representation and sales transactions. Jack is responsible for acquiring and developing new business relationships and advising Finial Group’s clients on the most cost-effective solutions for accommodating their needs. He provides lease and financial analysis, market research, negotiations, and value-based recommendations for each of his clients.

Since starting at Finial Group, Jack has specialized in the industrial sector. His primary focus is on industrial leasing, acquisitions and development for Finial Group and their partners. In his 3 years at the firm, he has assisted in over 400,000 square feet of lease transactions and 250,000 SF of sales transactions. Jack was accepted into the SIOR Member Associate program in January 2021 and is working towards his full designation.

In addition to his brokerage and investment efforts in Houston, Jack has spent the past two and a half years establishing Finial Group’s presence in San Antonio and assisting in the opening of the Finial Group San Antonio Office. Jack now serves as the team’s corporate leader in the market and plans on being an integral part of our San Antonio acquisitions and expansion in the future.

Prior to joining Finial Group, Jack worked at GWR Equities in Houston as an analyst underwriting multifamily investment sales. During his time there, he gained valuable experience in research, investment and property valuation. Jack also worked as an intern at Monument Wealth Management, an asset management and financial planning firm in Alexandria, Virginia.

Originally from Washington, DC, Jack moved to Austin in 2014 to attend the University of Texas, where he earned a B.A in Economics with honors, with a Certificate in Business Honors. While at U.T., he was a member of the University of Texas Silver Spurs, a volunteer tutor at local Austin elementary schools and an active participant in many charity events.
