William McCarthy is a member of the Finial Group’s brokerage services team and is focused on brokerage including tenant and end user representation. William is responsible for acquiring and developing new business relationships and advising the firm’s clients on the most cost effective solutions for accommodating their needs. William provides lease analysis, financial analysis, market research, negotiations and value based recommendations for each of his clients.

In 2017 William started off his first full year of brokerage by closing a value-add acquisition that was discovered while dropping off flyers late 2016. The rest of the year was spent working hard to ensure that each one of his clients received the best deal possible while maintaining the highest integrity throughout the process. William concluded his first full year of brokerage as one of Finial’s top producers.

In 2019 William shifted his primary focus from tenant representation to the leasing of Finial Group properties at 3030 and 2950 South Gessner, 2401 Fountain View, and 10750 Barker Cypress. William and the Finial leasing team worked tirelessly to outperform the market and obtain higher occupancies than the competing properties. By years end, the Finial leasing team took 2401 Fountain View from 48% occupied to 84% occupied, 3030 South Gessner and 2950 South Gessner from 76% occupied to 96% occupied, and 10750 Barker Cypress added over 8,000 square feet of new tenants in the 30,000 square foot center.

In 2020, after the success of the 2019 campaign, William relocated to Dallas, Texas with his new focus on growing the Finial Dallas market presence, building a strong brokerage team, and acquiring new industrial product. William continues to service his Houston clients and makes frequent trips to Houston to work on deals.

Prior to joining Finial Group, William interned at Marcus & Millichap where he gained commercial real estate experience in research, inventorying property, and canvassing. Additionally, William worked with BRI Consulting Group, Inc as an intern assisting with joint venture audits.

A graduate of University of Alabama, William was on the Dean’s list and active within Alpha Kappa Lambda Fraternity. As a member of Troop 641 at Chaplewood United Methodist Church, William achieved his Eagle Scout Honor in 2010. He served as a leader in his troop in the roles of, patrol leader, Chaplin, and assistant patrol leader. William earned over 30 merit badges including all required 21 badges for his Eagle Scout. In 2010, William orchestrated his Eagle Scout project which was a donation drive for the Nehemiah Center of Houston, an organization co-founded by his late grandfather Fred C. Alcorn.
