Cara Cowser serves as a Senior Property Accountant for Finial Group. Cara’s primary responsibility is maintaining detailed financials for several properties, such as operating expenses including property taxes, insurance, maintenance, and utilities. She works closely with Property Management to track capital expenses and tenant improvement projects, confirms all tenant information is accurate, and monitors monthly billbacks, ensuring that they are applied properly to tenants’ monthly statements. Cara also works with the brokerage team to verify that all appropriate documentation is provided for new leases, commissions, and lease modifications. In addition, she prepares monthly reporting packages for distribution to investors, which includes an explanation of variances between budget and actuals and an overview of all financials for the portfolios.

Before joining Finial Group, Cara served as the Wholegoods Inventory Manager for one of the nation’s largest Kubota tractor dealers. There, she oversaw all aspects of the 9 gulf coast locations’ 80-million-dollar inventory. Her duties included analyzing, ordering, receiving, and distributing all whole goods, as well as coordinating regular cycle counts to help minimize loss. Other duties included various accounting functions such as creating vendor audits, producing sales department financial reports, ensuring correct cost on all inventory, and reconciling vendor accounts.

Cara graduated in 2018 from Mays Business School – Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration – Finance.
